While I agree in principle, anyone who spends a decade as a mall security guard, while obviously an idiot, possesses a sense of loyalty and obligation that deserves to be rewarded, not punished. Where the hell do you find people willing to give that kind of loyalty for under $10/hr? The true fall guy here should have been the clerk who originally complained, the management of the store in which the clerk worked for not stopping the clerk and the drooling cretins in the mall management office who ordered the guard to respond.
