So, are you suggesting a full censorship of news? Going into a police state? Do you want our government to take over the full control of news telling us exactly the way our government would like us to hear? Man, going to Viet Name did not learn yourself a thing. You are one of the very few that came back without learning anything. I am beginning to wonder if you are one of those Viet-Nam-want-to-be-there's? * * * "Ron M." <rmorgan7@austin.rr.com> wrote in message news:d7fc3008.0303291344.6c91e51f@posting.google.com... freethemedia2002@yahoo.com (Arther Miller) wrote in message > The attack on Iraq looks set to be the most censored conflict of > modern times. Oh, blow me. I get so tired of these effete whiners. This guy's such a blithering idiot, he never mentions the media's unflagging determination to slant and spin war coverage ten ways from Sunday. I'm surprised they let them in at ALL. We went through this shit in Vietnam - I remember some story showing a teenage Vietnamese girl, lying dead on the ground. "Killed by American troops." They didn't mention, of course, that this cute little girl had been up in a tree and had just killed three American guys with an AK47. And of course he never mentions the middle eastern, far eastern and russian media, which continues to portray this conflict as an attempt by the U.S. to "take over and colonize the entire region," and to "seize our precious oil resources for itself." A major Jordan newspaper recently ran a story on how the U.S. was "carpet-bombing civilian areas in Baghdad." I guess he's not even slightly concerned about Iraqi fathers being forced to drive explosive-laden trucks into American tanks, knowing their families will be slaughtered if they don't. He's not concerned about somebody being run feet-first through a wood chipper for accidentally chuckling about Saddam in public. He's not concerned about Saddam's Feyadeen tying children to the outside of their military vehicles. He's really not concerned about anything, except his delusions of self-glorification. Ron M.
