Not so... Read on: ---- From the Dorsai News Wire LIC, November 15- In yet another stride to bring more service at lower costs, the Dorsai Embassy has now decided to offer static SLIP lines for $200/year. This comes on the heels of their annoucement about opening a new web site and allowing their users to have homepages up on the site. The new $200 option is only $75 more per year than a regular account and allows one to have his/her own IP number. "I've been planning to get a static IP address for a long time, said an enthusiastic user of the new service, but I couldn't find any place that was inexpensive enough to allow such an expense." Rumors had perviously flown that Dorsai was going to drop static SLIPs for regular users but those were quickly denied by the Dorsai Board of Directors. "We've discussed it but it was not really an option," said Dorsai Pro-consul Charles Rawls. "Our goal is to provide the best service at the cheapest price and if that means getting our users unbelievable bargains, so be it," he added. The Dorsai Embassy has often been noted as the best quality for your money service in the New York City area. Recently, members of other local internet BBSes recognized it as such. At this time, the supply of SLIP lines is dropping quickly and Dorsai staff members reccomend that you get in on the act quickly if you want to get such a line. "We don't make these offers too often and have a limited number of lines so if you want one, get it now," said a Dorsai staffer. At this time, there are less than 60 lines still available. More information is supposed to come out soon as to the number of lines left. -- Tristan N.
