Here is one definition of treason: "The Constitution of the United States, Art. III, defines treason against the United States to consist only in levying war against them, or in adhering to their enemies, giving them aid or comfort. This offence is punished with death. By the same article of the Constitution, no person shall be convicted of treason, unless on the testimony of two witnesses to the same overt act, or on confession in open court." This is from: http://www.lectlaw.com/def2/t103.htm I contend that Kerry's testimony certainly gave "aid and comfort" to an enemy of the United States. There also were many witnesses to his statements on National Television. The North Vietnamese certainly took "comfort" from his testimony and it "aided" their war effort, IMNSHO... I still contend his behavior was treasonable. While I did not serve in Viet Nam, I have a number of friends who did, including one Swift Boat commander I have lost track of in recent yr=ears (I'd love to hear his opinion!). They did not agree with his testimony and many also thought it treasonous. You apparently feel differently, which is your right. It is also my right to disagree with you. Regards... Tom
