There is a large newsstand on West 42nd Street in NYC, between 6th and 7th (?) or 7th and 8th (??) on the south side of the street that sells, literally, hundreds of out of town and foriegn papers. Tower Books on Lafayette Street and East 4th has many out of town papers available to read; I'm not sure if they actually sell them or not. Lastly, there is a magazine store on 11th Street and the Avenue of the Americas on the northeast corner (across from Ray's Pizza) that may carry these papers. Whattya think, my EMPLOYER could've thought this stuff up?
