If you truly believe that Andrew and I can't be objective in this discussion,
then you are missing the point. I don't know abut Andrew, but no, you don't have
me up in arms against you. I do argue the issue about the schools, tho. Major
corporations have well-defined long-range (strategic) marketing plans. Schools
are just now realizing they need to do it also. 

My argument is that the corporation as an entity is just that - a single entity
no matter what you or any other employee knows, thinks, believes or wishes. 
And no, you don't see the profit from COMM. On the other hand, the shareholders
do see the profit and loss from all the groups. The very creation of the concept
of corporation is based on personal liability (to avoid it!) and to play games
with the tax laws.

Tell you what - want to trade all the homework and exams in my class for a 
definitive explanation of the interlocking/interworking pieces of USWest? (Watch
the Chancellor, the Dean and the Dept Chair come after me on this one!) Or,
how about an independent study on the same, if you need the hours. Most of us
are rather intelligent and willing to be educated. We could put it into DU's
ftp area for everyone to read. Sort of a high-level FAQ!
