I use a German shareware program called Crosspoint for reading mail at
home. Mail is transferred using UUCP. Cross point has built-in MIME
support for outgoing emails. English documentation is very minimalist!

One of my friends is reachable via an X400 address in India, and they can
not receive anything but simple 7bit mail. Crosspoint marks the contents
8bit, even for simple text email. Therefore, my email shows up as a binary
encoded text at my friend's site. 

HOW CAN I COMPLETELY DISABLE MIME FOR OUTGOING EMAILS?
