This discussion has shifted from what I was trying to address in the
first place and I have been caught off guard by this shift in
emphasis. Admittedly I have little knowledge of animation - my
expertise lies  more in the region of scientific image processing and
Fourier projection/reconstruction techniques.

What I was trying to respond to in the first place was the statements
that implied the Amiga but not Macs or IBM comptables (by only saying
Amigas and explicitly ommitting mention of other types of personal
computers) where incapable of animation. However, the discussion going
on here has made it clear that none of the aforementioned computers or
even such workstations as the SUN Sparc stations are capable of the
animation being considered. My point stands - why only single out
Amigas as being incapable and hush up the fact that all the other
personal computers are incapable?
