   This surely would lead you to surmise two things :-

a) Andy *is* a 'decent chap' as that many people can't all be wrong. (And
yes I have met him in person before you ask)

b) That Andy doesn't suffer fools gladly. And I can't say I blame him.

   As for the signature war? Well personally last time I looked at the
guide-lines signatures no longer than six lines were considered acceptable.
I personally prefer having a signature for a few reasons that are of no
concern here. As long as my signature falls within the guidelines of
'netiquette' I see no reason not to have one.
