ISDN (integrated services digital network), DSL (digital subscriber
lines) or some sort of wireless alternative? Where is the future for
Australia and New Zealand?
I read an article that says Australia is years behind some Asian
countries (June 2001 figures: Aus market population penetration 1% vs
South Korea 12%). Does this matter?
The same article went on to prerdict that the main driver of broadband
use would be a tendency of companies to operate software by buying a
subscription licence 'off site'. My impression was that this was a
fantasy, but are there any companies in Australia or New Zealand doing
it?
