Yea verily Snoopy (tennyson@NO_SPAM.caverock.net.nz) on Wed, 25 Nov 1998 22:58:32 GMT in nz.comp:<365c6cf7.2644403@news.caverock.net.nz> didst write unto us... >Right, I have MS Word so I will look at using that. Scratch my >original comments about the orientation of the labels on the 'Impact' >brand Stationery. You are right Patrick, they are straight up and >down but contain no wraparound flap. I was curious, however, whether >the paper code 'LCF' was an international code, and if so whether >Microsoft would have a prelaid out template that I could download. Very simple to use Tools | Envelopes and Labels Click Labels tab Click Options button Click New Label button Type in a name for this new label Get your ruler out and measure: Top margin - distance from top of page to edge of 1st label Side margin - distance from left of page to edge of 1st label Label height & width Vertical pitch - distance from top of one label to top of next label down. If they are right next to each other then it is the same as the height. Horizontal pitch - distance from left of one label to left of next label across. If next to each other then same as width. Number across & Number down page. Page size is A4. Click OK. Select your new label under product number Select the tray you are using, then click OK. Type your text in the address box or leave blank under Print click "Full page of the same label" Click "Print" to print straight away or "New Document" to create a document with the labels in it. If you do "New Document" then you can create the labels normally in Word before you print them which lets you put in logos, fancy text or whatever. When you click "New Document" Word will create a document formatted as a sort of table with the labels visible in rows and columns, like they will print when you print the document. Format it and print it. >> >>The Avery or Arrow labels are better as they are a full size for a 3.5" >>disk, they have the bit that wraps around the top of the disk and keeps >>the dust/dirt out, a bit more expensive though, Blue Star's prices are >>much better than WOP for labels... >> >I got mine from the Warehouse Office Stationary store. Cost was $9.95 >for 100 labels- that's around 10c per label by my calculations. >> >>Post back and say what software you are using... >> >For graphics MS Paint.
