It was a pity that Borland had to change its name >though. Borland did a lot of Pascal compilers called "Turbo Pascal" and they also did one for Windows - still called "Turbo Pascal". The name change was appropriate because Delphi is a whole lot more than a compiler. Sure, you can write Delphi programs using a text editor and compile them with a command-line compiler if you wish - most people prefer to use the IDE, VCL and other core components of the Windows package. Delphi is a development environment based upon the Pascal language - like Visual Basic is a development environment. -- Patrick Dunford, Christ Church, NZ http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Village/3405/ ----------------------------------------------------- HIKOI OF HOPE: WALKING FOR A CHANGE - SEPTEMBER 1998 http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Village/3405/hikoi/ Official site http://www.hikoi.anglican.org.nz/
