Some kid wiped nearly every bit of info off my mother's 486, and I'm stuck with fixing it :) It orginally had Windows 95 and a CDROM drive that worked fine... Now I can only get as far as the DOS prompt... So I've got her orginal Windows 95 CDROM, and downloaded the original CDROM drivers off the Net (it's a Goldstar x4, SoundBlaster compatiable)... Problem is that I can't get DOS to recognise the CD-ROM drive, so I can't install windows... I keep getting the message "MSCD001 not found" Any help or tips would be much appreciated...
