As a text-based writer of HTML code, have you taken a look at a relative
newcomer to the WYSIWYG package called DreamWeaver?
Some people I know of locally who make a modicum of money writing web pages
for others have been dribbling rather foolishly since they got their hands
on it, because not only does it have all the bells and whistles you could
want, but because of the manner in which you have so much control over the
code it produces.

Just take a look at DreamWeaver before 'cutting it down', because you might
just find that it will improve your ability to write clean code in the
manner you best see fit.

I reiterate, try to not dismiss this GUI HTML editor just because you
haven't yet experianced it. A lot of previously die-hard text-only writers
of code have done so and liked it enough to improve their working habits.
