I agree with you. Flashy stuff in a commercial web page
gets in the way of the message, and wastes bandwidth
and may be unreadable by a large proportion of your
potential clients.

I got no problem with people showing off in their
personal Home Pages, though! The *useful* innovative
stuff has to be practised somewhere.
