Who else out there in NZ is running BSD386 0.1? (the free one)
Its been up and going on aklobs now for a while and seems to be quite stable
A
with only two panics so far :-)
I have it on a 486DX2-50 EISA bus system with 8megs of ram, 256k cache,
scsi controller (1542b) with NEC 660meg drive, Archive 150/250 meg tape,
vga etc..
The NFS is very nice. It talks to ESIX NFS on a 386-40 system running
ESIX SVR3.2, absolutely no problems here.
Is anyone else working on any extensions to BSD386?
I'm interested in finding out if that 'working group' suggested by
someone at VUW ever got into doing any 'work'. If so who is involved
and what projects are being looked at?
Also I'm interested in Netfax for BSD. The code I obtained is pretty
awful stuff so I'm now looking at a complete rewrite for BSD386 (and
ZyXel 1496E and/or Zoom v32bis modem).
Talk to me :-)
