 I just love the Intel ad that claims the PII enables us to watch
full-screen DVD video.  Yeah, right.  MPEG-2 decompression is done by
the hardware - to do it in software requires about a 433MHz Alpha
workstation to get a full 30fps frame rate, according to the DVD FAQ.

 I've seen basic shell functions such as File|Open boxes take a few
*seconds* to load on a ppro180 running NT.  I don't see how you could
even intentionally make it run that slow without adding
Intel-Microsoft conspiracy delay-loops!
