I have set up some virtual directories on my server and have got ntfs
authentication on them. Problem is when i try and enter the user name
and password into the dialog box that comes up in internet explorer it
doesnt authenticate. If i do it with netscape then it works fine.

Whats the prob?? and the solution.....

Do you need SP1 to install SP2? I tried SP1 and the comp didnt run as well
so i uninstalled it.

So should that fix the prob?

I doubt that will fix your problem, but SP2 does not require SP1
Please elaborate on what you mean by "comp didn't run as well" after
applying SP1
That statement goes against everything I have seen out in the real world...
