network disruption at Waikato 6 Aug

We are performing a major upgrade of the MGS cisco router
at Waikato tomorrow:

	Thursday, 6 Aug 08:30 - 10:00

This will mean an outage on the single path to FRI, but other
connectivity should only be affected by brief disruptions.

Most of our leased circuit connections go through the MGS, but we
have redundancy with the Frame Relay links, and the backup paths
for Canterbury via the circuit to VUW and the path to Invermay
through Otago. Currently the Internet gateway and the Waikato LAN
are accessed via the MGS cisco, but this should failover to a
backup router (a Sun), and/or the Water Quality to Mt Albert
circuit. Hopefully we will complete the upgrade before 10:00 (and
it will actually work), and in any case the failovers should be
reasonably quick.
