Telecom NZ have advised that we will have some outages on our PACCOM
circuit to The Internet, early morning on Monday, 9 November, while
our tail connection is being modified to use restructured
140Mbps bearers. This work moves the tail from the "Dedicated
Wide Band Network" to the DSTN, which provides remote control
of circuit restoration. In addition our tail circuit is to be
put on the list of links for highest priority restoration. These
changes should provide for rapid recovery from fault conditions
on the 140Mbps bearers. The outages will be:

  up to 10 seconds     Monday,   9 November 03:30 +1300

  up to 1 minute       Monday,   9 November 04:14 +1300

  up to 15 minutes     Monday,   9 November 06:00 +1300

There will also be an outage the following day on the
Frame Relay connection to Waikato while we swap routers
(to upgrade the software to 9.0(2)):

  up to 2 minutes      Tuesday, 10 November 11:30 +1300

Well they were for 2 minutes at 2:30 and 34 minutes at 06:00 :-(;
