I've been having quite a few bounces recently when I've been attempting
to send mail to mixed format addresses.
( ie someone%somewhere@somewhere.else )
Do the New Zealand nameservers actually support this form of addressing?
If not, how easily can they be upgraded to do so, as it's a bloody
nuisance to have to try and manually route mail after it has been
bounced back in your face.
I'll follow-up shortly with examples....

This isn't a DNS issue - all DNS (via MX) records will give you is a resolution of the "@somewhere.else" bit. You may have a problem with your mail software (that's assuming the addresses you are using are correct, and the mailer on the gateway machine is compliant). -- Cheers Jason Haar, Network Consultant CSC, University of Canterbury, Christchurch, New Zealand phone: +64-3-3642 2336 fax: +64-3-364 2332

This is a joke right? Upgraded?!? Is that the footsteps of Andy L. I
hear dragging the halls ... you shouldn't have made him angry like
this, you won't like him when he's angry.
