On Tuesday, June 27, live, real-time voting results for Measure
R will be available on the web. This will be the first time
Orange County election results will be available on the
Internet as the votes are being counted.

The address is http://infopages.com/ocelect/

Measure R is a proposed half-cent sales tax increase to make up
for $1.7 billion lost by the (former) Orange County treasurer
through risky investments. The huge loss prompted the county to
file for bankruptcy last December, an event that made national
headlines.

On June 27, voters will decide whether voluntarily to help bail
out bondholders, school districts, vendors and others hurt by
the bankruptcy, or force the county to default on debts or find
other ways to pay back the lost money.

As a public service and for the fun of doing it, Maximized
Online will provide live results on the web, supplied through a
direct data feed from the Orange County Registrar of Voters.
More information about Measure R also is available from the
http://infopages.com/ocelect/ site.
