                               December Meeting

                         ---------------------------
                            Adobe Authoring Tools
                         ---------------------------

                          Monday, December 9, 7-9 pm
                                 Corollary Inc
                              2802 Kelvin, Irvine
(one block north of Jamboree and Main)

At our December meeting, Susan Rioux of Adobe will tell us about
Adobe's current products and strategic direction. Adobe products
include authoring tools for image editing, illustration, video editing,
page layout, document publishing, internet publishing, and document
distribution. The demonstration will include solutions for publishing
information to HTML and PDF (Adobe Acrobat's Portable Document Format)
for distribution on the Web.

The UUASC is for all persons using UNIX either personally or
professionally, or interested in learning more about UNIX. We recognize
all varieties of UNIX, including (without prejudice) SCO, Linux, SVr4,
Solaris, AIX, and BSD. This is a good place to meet others with similar
interests and broaden your skills and knowledge. Generally, meetings
include a technical presentation on a hardware or software topic of
current interest to the UNIX community and a round-table discussion
of current topics of interest to the group. We are always looking
for interesting presentations and your suggestions are most welcome.

Please join us this month and bring along your friends and coworkers.
There is no charge for attending a UUASC meeting. Also, please forward
this announcement to others who may be interested and feel free to
post it on BBSs, both electronic and physical. If you receive more
than one announcement by email, please let us know so we can keep
our lists current. Thanks for listening.

BTW: The UUASC Web site, at http://www.uuasc.org/~uuasc, is not
functioning at this time. A new host is urgently needed. We may
have one lined up but an alternative or back-up site might be
helpful. Please contact me if you can help.
