The best way, I've found, to buy cars is through the fleet
manager. You'll get to take a test drive, if the car/color
combination exists within the state a good FM will find it and
get it for you, etc. etc. This is what most of the non-dealer
dealer set-ups are, really, is a front end for the FMs. Of
course, if you call up a fleet manager and tell him/her that
you'd rather buy a car from them than from the people on the
floor, I can almost guarantee that they won't turn you away, even
if you aren't in a credit-union/ACSC/Pace/whatever.
