*** Second Roundtable:

Speaker: John Dimmick, Professor, OSU Department of Communication
Time: 4:30-6 PM
Place and parking: As above

*** Suggestions solicited

We'd like to have a variety of speakers on telecom technology, policy,
and markets. We have moved the time and location to attract more
off-campus attendees, we hope. We are also working on arrangements
for after-Roundtable no-host dinner in walking distance.

Here are some of the ideas I am working on, but I'd like your
suggestions for speakers for this quarter and throughout the year.

I would like to have someone speak on Internet/NREN, preferably
someone who can address basics (What is Internet?) through advanced
(How is NREN doing? What is the Gore bill?). Any suggestions? Any
volunteers?

Can someone do an overview on multimedia applications? Or is anyone
doing some neat stuff in that area that they would like to talk about?

How about PCNs? wireless data communication?

Are there particular companies you'd like to hear from? Are there
companies who would like to volunteer to tell us what they're up to?

Other topics? Speakers?
