CAST ROUNDTABLE

Jan. 6  --"The Uses and Gratifications of Personal Telephone Networks"

            John Dimmick, Professor, Department of Communication

Professor Dimmick will present the results of his research on telephone usage
and personal telephone networks. In two recent studies conducted in Ohio, Dr.
Dimmick uncovered three factors in telephone gratifications: instrumentality,
sociability and reassurance. He will discuss those findings as well as his
development of a typology of personal telephone networks.

The Roundtable will be held from 4:30-6:00 p.m. at the Ohio Legal Center, Room 
115, 33 W. 11th Ave.

Parking is available in the parking garage just north of the Ohio Union on N. 
High St. From the garage, walk south on High Street past the Union and the Law 
School, and turn right (west) onto 11th. The Ohio Legal Center will be on your 
left. No reservations are necessary. Roundtables are free and open to the 
public.
