For what it's worth, 6 & 28 are both owned by Sinclair, so "independent" isn't quite accurate in reference to WTTE. Even so, merged news operations aren't new to Ohio- you see it in Toledo (WUPW & WTOL) and Cleveland (WOIO & WUAB). You also saw it a few years ago in Columbus, with WWHO & WCMH back when 53 had a newscast. What's unusual in Columbus is putting both stations on the same set, with the same graphics package, etc. > > And, that, I agree is a great disservice to the Columbus area. Geez, if I started listing all the disservice being done to Columbus by its news media... I dare say it's worse here than elsewhere in Ohio. > I could be wrong the way I interpret this, Channel Six has misused the > Consumer Report information all together. The given reason is the reporter (was it Jon Greiner?) moving on to greener pastures, which is true- but I wonder if this might have been another factor. -- Jeff Billman Columbus, OH Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ Before you buy.
