Hello All,
I am a member of a university research team at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Our team is
currently involved in the design and eventual market of a residential / commercial storage building. These
buildings are proposed to be temperture controlled ( 20F - 90F ) and humidity controlled ( ~1% - 90% ).
These buildings are also proposed to be flood proof, through the use of new, innovative materials, design
methods , and construction techniques. We are currently reviewing our design and are seeking input from
possible consumers. We ask that you answer the following survey and either E-Mail it to
"laserjoc@mindspring.com" or post your response here. Obviously we prefer if you e-mail'ed it, but we don't
want to cause any inconvience. We appreciate your cooperation in this matter.
________________________________________________________________________
1.) What is your age

2.) What is your current occupation?

3.) What is your average annual income
	a. 0-$5000 b.$5001-$15000 c. $15001-$25000 d.$25001-$35000
	e. $35001-$45000 f. >$45000
4.) What geographic area do you currently reside?
(ex. Northwest, southeast, etc...)

5.) Do you currently own a storage building?
	a. For home?
	b. For business?

6.) If you answered "Yes" to question 5, please complete the following section:
a.) Does your storage building have shelves?

b.) Is your storage building accessable in more than one location (multiple doors)?

c.) Does your storage building have windows?

d.) Is your storage building equipped with air-conditioning?

e.) What is the primary role for your storage building
			a.) agriculture b.) farm/yard equipment
			c.) food stores d.) utility / workroom
			d.) other (please specify)
7.) Would you consider the temperture/humidity control features of this proposed building useful?

8.) Would you consider the flood-proof design an important feature?

9.) Would you consider a "build-to-suit" storage building similar to the one described above, while sold at
a similar cost to pre-manufactured buildings currently available, a superior product to those buildings?

10.) Would an uninteruptable power supply and environmental control system be important to you in a storage
building?

11.) What would your preference be of exterior finishes for a storage building? (i.e wood grain, cement
block, etc...)

Thank you for taking the time to complete this questionaire,
your answers will be kept strictly confidential, and will be destroyed after our market research has been
completed. The answers to these questions will NOT be sold, or released, to any organizations outside of
this research group.

Again Thank You!!! - without your help we would not be able to successfully complete this design.
