Yes that is right, i am not one of the usual students who is going to go and blow the normal brown goo from out my rear about how kids should not go to school b/c of the dull curiculum (teachers hehehe note of that, school is very boring for me i'll tell ya ;P) and non-job orientated (true there are a few programs but not enough...sadly). welp my advocation is more on the lines of that the school system is presently opressive and that homework is a sign of this tyranny against the acedemic youthful minds of this world :) 1) conformity: is bad... great nations such as the united states were not forged from the conformity of laws and expectations from the corrupt gov't. I make an analagy along this lines b/c teachers and the administration of school's are very curropt and very obressive with their lessons. By forcing someone to turn in homework on a daily basis you are teaching them to conform to the system, teaching them to become mindless masses of controlled thinkers so they can spew forth the limited knowledge and ideals they learn in school with blind faith. Little do they know that by conforming to the education system they are destroying any possible chance of progression. historically proven most of the great achievments through the ages have come from free thinkers, on a religious level many of the great profits were sepereated from the norm to go off and to ponder their new thoughts (although placed there by divine intention of course). On a political level, democracy was fromed from people who didn't want to conform to the rule of a single monarch. On a scientific level, it was the free thinking of renisanse (sp?) men which has developed many of the technologies that have spawned the greatest discoveries and caused human progression. in conclution to this thought, by conforming to the turning in of homework (not saying doing homework is bad, b/c students must have a way to immediately apply knowledge in order to inbed it into memerios, just turning in homework is bad.) you are causing students to conform to a system that will stop progression or at least slow it, and in a time such as critical as now when the environment may be on the brink of disaster and with wide spread diseases that are immune to anti-bodies are coming out we will need all the best minds to be apt and able to provide us with new and radical solutions to them. 2) reform: how to go about this you may be asking yourself. Welp to go about this massive reform from confroming to a system to thinking for your own isn't as difficult as it may seem. Of course you need math but to what extent, i think that a totally vocational type of education system will cause us to have the best results worldwide. One, it will teach people to become more efficient at what they want. Two, it will increase the moral of the students. The next reform would have to be in manditory curriculim. All places should have homework yes, but as to the option of turning it in is up to the student, now how would this work no one would do the work you are saying? well true, but when test time comes and they pull an F (not as in fantastic, but as in failing) they will soon seek a new way to improve this scores for success in the world. Teachers whould advice them to do their work not to FORCE them. Allowing students to do there own free teaching. Also classroom discussion would be something that would help greatly. Teaching the proper way to write a sentense. or what sin (a+b) equals is not something that is going to broaden the horrizon of peoples lives. We need to share opinions develop ideas and only then can we open our minds and develop a better society. now i know there are tons of flaws in this little preaching, and if you see obvious ones i would love to advocate my opinion if not, please take into consideration and if you have read this far thank you for reading. sorry for any spelling errors, i know i have terrible spelling. thanks again Robert
