I received the following message from a member of the cycling
community in Alberta:

The Alberta Legislature's Standing Policy Committee voted 6-4
against MHL. The Transportation Minister seems to want MHL however
and is returning the issue to the SPC for a second look. At worst,
there is a slim chance that we may end up with a child MHL in the end.

Congrats to those both inside and from outside Alberta who organized or
supported the fight against MHL.
