Rumour has it that Chris Lewis said...
CL>I don't seem to have any trouble with WorldBlazers with V.32bis/V.42bis.
This is really driving me crazy. One site connects with a simple ATDT,
the other won't connect even if I offer the modem chocolate.

Preferably cherry-coloured if you have it. It's printers that want chocolate. Except of course IBM Proprinters. Feed them pizza. -- Anthony DeBoer adb@geac.com | uunet!geac!adb | GEM: ANTHONY.DEBOER

Try offering it ice cream - the vents on the side are great for this. If that fails, try money, booze, women. Seriously: 1) You can contact telebit, 1-800-TELEBIT and their support is GREAT 2) There are known problems, especially for negotiating with machines that are NOT (3,64). Some sun's and SVR4's are like this, many SCO's and XENIX's are patched to this TB won't give out free upgrades unless you have a real problem which you can document! But they can help with setup for free. 3) You will need supporting evidence of the problem. It could be settings your end or his end. Unless you have a detailed trace the support people - tlebit or the net - can't doo much. Example: I have asymtotic zero problems dialing out, except to ONE site which is always a problem and I thingk it is their controller - we've tried swapping modems! BUT some sites have problems dialing in from a WB to my WB. Document the syndrome. Analyse. Use "wolf-fencing" not "buckshot" -- Anton J Aylward
