Telnet over Ethernet with IPX

Hi,

This is slightly off topic.. anyways I am trying to get NCSA Telnet 2.3 to
work connecting to a Consensys SVR4 UNIX box over Coax. Everything works fine
except that I can't connect to the UNIX box and our Novell server at the same
time using the same card. I have to actually cold start the computer - warm
boot isn't enough - to switch between one server and another.

This is supposed to be possible but I don't find any references to this in the
documentation. Does anyone have any clues?

Thanks.

off the top of my head, look to see that all systems on the ethernet are using
the same ethernet frame type.

most unix use Ethernet II, novell defaults to 802.3

they are not really compatible.

Umm, the problem is that the Ethernet driver doesn't by default talk to two
protocol stacks. I wish I was at work and near my Novell manuals to provide
useful help... give me a call at 771-9377 Wednesday (I'm in Winnipeg Monday
and maybe Tuesday; you can try me Tuesday if you like) and I'll look it up.
