I called Profit/LEP in San Francisco about the swap. That is the office
making the arrangements with Telebit. I was told that they're waiting
for paperwork from Telebit to finalise everything and hope to have that
and the modems next week. They also said that there are about 450
modems on the list, and some additions are being made to it. The modems
are being shipped to Toronto and will be dispatched from there.

I was assured by Profit/LEP that I shouldn't be concerned about the
shipping aspect of the swap since the modems are supposed to arrive at
my door. Thank goodness! However, I'll believe that when I have the
modems in my hands :-)
