Plus illiterate consumers who will happily buy whatever is made for them in 
China and will be happy with the cardboard-quality drywall created by their 
peers. The illegal influx creates both illiterate consumers and unskilled 
labor satisfying their demand. No need for any progress, in fact, just the 
opposite.
