Fearing an eruption from Mt. Villi at any moment, "Coleman E. Howard" <cehoward@erols.com> cried out: }I was talking to an associate of mine, who was is of white/European descent }and we were discussing the topic of race in America. He stated to me that }the vast majority of white America really cares less about }African-Americans. He didn't speak of "multinational" corporations, }political leadership, but the vast majortiy of everyday "working", }"tax-paying" white America could really care less about the plight of }African-Americans/Black people. Do you agree? I do! I do, fwiw. I also agree that most blacks could care less about whites. In fact, dis-like whites about as much as whites dis-like blacks, at least in terms of personal association. It's all due to stereotyping of course and any hint that you might fit a stereotype, nails you to the wall. Personally, on one hand I understand it, but on the other hand I see actual danger. Major social division at some point, means war..... Or, at least major violence. Thus, I think both sides need to actually do some work and resolve some of the problems. And yeah, I do put my money where my mouth is....... http://members.blackplanet.com/Mandroid Now, I'm not going to whine about my experiences there, but they haven't been pleasant for the most part. I expected that. What I didn't expect though, was the uniformity of that rejection. It's literally universal. And, I'm not there just for "black puzzy", as has often been charged. I'm there to establish sincere relationships, of all sorts. Rotsa ruck, eh? -- Shea F.
