Presented by
Oregon State University's Lesbian Gay and Bisexual Alliance
as part of OSU Queer Pride Week '96
Monday, May 6th
6:00 PM

Free admission
We're very pleased to be hosting Kate Bornstein, an actor, director,
author/playwright, and freelance journalist, for a presentation on
transgenderism and sadomasochism. Ms. Bornstein is the author of the book
_Gender Outlaw_, and the plays _Virtually Yours_ and _The Opposite Sex is
_Neither_; the latter is currently in its fifth year of production.
For this evening, she will present a number of monologues and readings of
hers, which were originally written as performances. Her topics will range
from how she learned to talk like a grrrl, through her coming out story as
told by her mother, to the story of a baby leather dyke bottom falling in
love. The complete piece revolves around "The Amazing Very Academic Gender
Quiz," in which the audience is given test booklets and gets to take the
test.
The entire performance will be an hour and a half, with a
question-and-answer session to follow.
