The next OSU Network Security meeting will be this next Wednesday,
September 25th from 4-6 PM in Baker Systems Engineering room 120 on
the Ohio State University main campus.

I'll be speaking this time.  We'll talk a bit about the TCP SYN
attacks that are plaguing the Internet these days, and I'll talk alot
about incident response.  I'll be referring back to recent experience,
as we've had several significant incidents on campus lately and so
I've had recent experience in how to respond to security problems (and
how not to :-)

If you're coming from off campus, beware the construction.  The
entrance to the Northwest parking garage has changed - you now want to
take Tuttle just past Woody Hayes and turn left to get to the parking
garage.  Neal is closed from Lane to Woody Hayes, and then from Woody
Hayes to the garage.  Sigh.

The Network Security Group meetings are usually held on the fourth
Wednesday of each month from 4-6 PM on the Ohio State University main
campus in Columbus (usually in Baker Systems 120).  The goal of our
meetings is to share information about computer security tools,
practices and problems.  Anyone and everyone are invited to attend.

We also have mailing lists for people who are interested in discussing
network security issues, or who just want announcements about meetings
