Infinet.com provides a web spot for their subscribers and it is a lot cheaper than netcom. COIL says they will soon be doing the same. You might look into them. Advertising is what will drive a genuine commercial enterprise. But I don't see much advertising in web world yet. e-cash, if it takes off, might be a way for folks to charge token amounts for access (I don't think monthly credit-card based charges will hack this kind of thing. But that is the alternative.) Rob Funk's home page has some links that lead off to personal efforts along the lines you mention (http://www.cis.ohio-state.edu/~funk) -- A/~~\A 'moo2u from osu' Jim Ebright e-mail: ebright@bronze.coil.com ((0 0))_______ "'Eternal Vigilance Is The Price of Liberty' used to mean \ / the \ we watched the government - not the other way around."
