Don't forget - this months Network Security meeting has been
RESCHEDULED - it would normally have been on Wednesday, August 23rd at
4, but instead we are meeting next Wednesday, August 30th, from 9 till
11 AM in Baker 120.

Brent Chapman will be talking about his new book "Building Firewalls"
- it should be quite interesting. "Building Firewalls" is about
firewalls, like the famous Cheswick and Bellovin book, but it
approaches the subject from a more practical point of view - how do I
build a firewall.

Also, don't forget that this Wednesday (August 23) is the last day to
register for the private OSU firewalls tutorial that Brent will hteach
on the 28th. If you are interested in attending and haven't
registered, call me ASAP (2-4843) so that we can try to work things
out.

The OSU Network Security Meetings are normally held on the fourth
Wednesday of each month, from 4-6 PM in Baker Systems 120. The
meetings are open to the public.
