My beau and I have decided to make it permanent, and we want to be married here in Columbus. Neither of us are really church-going people, but we'd like to be married by a minister. Also, we want to get married at the same place we have our reception (probably the Worthington Inn). We want to do this Sunday, Jan 14, but we're stumped in terms of how to get a minister. As for religious background, he was raised Catholic, and was an ordained minister in the United Church of Christ (in the Bahamas, 10 years ago). He's now a lax gentle Christian. Me, I was born and baptized Romanian Orthodox, raised Methodist, was would probably call myself quietly Orthodox now. When I'm in the Orthodox church with my extended family, I'm spiritually certain that THIS is where I'm meant to be. Anyway, we need someone to marry us. We're both rather fond of the English wedding vows and ceremony, and we want things to be simple and pleasant. If you know of a minister who would do it, please let me know. Male or female doesn't matter, so long as the minister genuinely enjoys weddings and is willing to work with us. To add a complication, John lives in New York City, and we're moving to Westchester NY after the wedding. So we would join a church there, of course, but we want to marry here before I leave town. -- pamela brown hates being called pam. you've been warned. brown.98@osu.edu
