There has been precious little discussion of this proposed new group.

So far there was one post from a non-ONAG member with useful
suggestions. I agreed with those suggestions and incorporated
them into the proposed charter.

Are you? So how come you are not equally concerned about the
non-job-ad, non-charter-compliant discussion currently taking
place at ott.jobs?

Then there are also groups such as ott.politics that have no
spam and just about no discussion at all. Does this serve us better?

It appears to me that you are not looking for support at all.
You have already made up your mind and are looking for excuses.

So what changed and why was the group finally created?

BTW a google group search on the words "ottawa" and "hi" and
"tech" came up with 11,100 threads. Do you think this proves
enough interest?
