What is EngFrosh '98?

EngFrosh '98 is an introduction to Carleton Engineering's vibrant academic
and social life. It provides a fun and friendly atmosphere for first year
Engineering students to meet their future classmates and professors.
EngFrosh '98 is also the first opportunity for these new students to
explore the beautiful city of Ottawa, its local businesses and hotspots.

Why would I sponsor EngFrosh '98?

Carleton Engineering students have rapidly become an important part of the
local high-tech community. With new co-operative education programs and
industrial experience initiatives, Carleton University Engineers are
gaining worldwide recognition as valuable employees, managers, and
business leaders. Sponsorship or advertisement with student groups and
activities is an excellent way to support the community and to promote
your company to the leaders of tomorrow.

What will happen during EngFrosh '98?

EngFrosh '98 events include bungee jumping, a bus tour of Ottawa, a huge
concert, a pub crawl, a week long scavenger hunt, a boat race against
rival Ottawa University, live bands and a final blow-out bash. Eight
groups of approximately 50 students will visit approximately 30 local
establishments: from bars and bistros to local concert venues.

When and Where is EngFrosh '98?

EngFrosh '98 is scheduled to run from Sunday September 6, to Sunday
September 13, 1998 at Carleton University. Located in Canada's capital,
Carleton University is just minutes from the Rideau Canal. With the
Parliament buildings, two international universities, and a diverse and
active nightlife, Ottawa is a beautiful and exciting city.

Who will participate in EngFrosh '98?

An estimated 560 students will enroll in first year Engineering at
Carleton University for the 1998/1999 academic year. More than 400 first
year students and more than 100 upper-year facilitators will participate
in EngFrosh '98. There are approximately 2000 students in the Faculty of
Engineering at Carleton University.
