Sometimes (not always :-) you get what you pay for.

From what I understand selling a home is not quite as tricky as buying 
a home, let's see, all I can think of is making sure the mortgage
is properly released and that's about it.

But there is always the potential for complications. What happens if
the buyer backs out on the day of closing, what happens if you get
sued later for not revealing defects, etc.

The right lawyer minimizes the chance of complications and in the
rare occasion complications do arise, it is good to know you
have the right person there to help you.
