I grow weary with my 48-52K connections... When I switched, I was paying ~ 24 (taxes in) for the second line, and ~20 for the ISP service, total ~ 44. Rogers VIP added 2-3 to my cable bill, legitimizing my extra jacks in the process and giving me a 10% at Rogers video where I go anyway, and reduced the cost of @home by 10%. Seemed like a fair trade to me. Harder to justify, though, if you don't have a second line.
