CAIP-Monitor Meeting to discuss ADSL issues.

CAIP (The Canadian Association of Internet Providers) and Monitor Magazine will
be hosting a meeting to discuss various issues around the new ADSL service.

Various ISP's have contacted both CAIP and Monitor with concerns about this new
service. The media has also been active this week in bringing this issue to
the attention of the public.

On the agenda will be speakers who will describe the service, tariffs and
possible courses of action.. Round table discussion by ISP's will also be
included in the meeting, with the aim of coming up with a course of action to
be taken/not taken by ISP's either individually, or as a group. Legal experts
with expertise in CRTC and Competition Bureau proceedings will also be on hand.
Views from both within the ISP industry and outside the industry will be
presented.

All ISP's are invited to attend. Please limit your attendance to 1 or 2
representatives per ISP. This meeting is for the decision makers of an ISP,
and is not technical in nature. Please RSVP to rob@echelon.ca.

For more information, please also email rob@echelon.ca.

Thanks to Industry Canada for supplying the meeting room, and Monitor Magazine
for the refreshments provided.

The meeting will be held on Monday, November 24, 1997 in Ottawa from 2-5 pm.
