1/. Via my ISP, was using MSIE which releases more info than NetScape:

Many people surf the web under the illusion that their actions are
private and anonymous. Unfortunately, it isn't so. Every time
you visit a site, you leave a calling card that reveals where
you're coming from, what kind of computer you have, and other
details. Most sites keep logs of all your visits. In many cases,
this logging may constitute a violation of your privacy.
Here's a sampling of the kind of information that a site can
collect on you (please wait a moment):
You're located in Canada.
Your computer is a Windows 95.
Your Internet browser is Microsoft Internet Explorer.
Your computer has a screen that is 800x600
and is powered by an x86 CPU
.
You are coming from slip-102.newforce.ca.
**NOTE: I did not have my e-mail address entered in MSIE, otherwise it
would have shown up as well! Big surprise that it knows what CPU and
what screen resolution I was using
DAL
2/. From National Capital FreeNet, via lynx:

Interesting eh! I suspect more info can be gathered, especially in light
of the NetScape security bug. (mind you if it was MSIE, it probably would
allow someone to write to your HD as well!) ;-)
