notice Rogers bandwidth caps?

As someone already stated, Rogers is planning to decrease upstream caps to
192kbps.

I think this has been in effect for me for the past couple of days, as I
can't no longer send at speeds higher than this.

Anyone else notice this?

And they are capping downstream to 1.5 mbps.

Heh, right, like a Porsche is a lot faster than every other car on the
road -- except when driving it on roads with speed limits and
regulations.

There are two differenet types of service though. The one
with a 192k speed cap is the cheapest one.

Oh come on. Even at those speeds, I've never come more than halfway as fast
as that with standard DSL on a good day.

Probably too many people signing up that came from sympatico. That would
explain it.

Wrong the cheapest one is Rogers Lite which is 128 kbps down/64 kbps up, the
one with the 192 kbps up is the regular Rogers Hi-Speed Internet at
$45/month. READ the post before you assume. Rogers is throttling the regular
service back to speeds "UP TO" 1.5 mbps down/192 kbps up

My DSL I get 160 kbps up, or 20 KB/sec.
