Surely someone would like a printed copy of the GIMP (Linux image
editing app) user manual. The manual is usually distributed in a GNU
PDF format for free distribution.

About a month or so ago, I took the liberty of running off a copy for
myself on the 1200dpi work laser printer <grin>. Now, sitting beside
me (unused), is 530-odd pages of GIMP User Manual. I don't have time
to fiddle with Linux anymore and, as I'm just about to move to Sydney,
I don't want to carry any more unnecessary stuff with me :-)

If you're in Newcastle (or have a friend in Newcastle) and you'd like
to pick this up from me (for nix of course), just drop me a line at
the address below. It's a first in - best dressed scenario. ONE COPY
ONLY - sorry. It's well over a ream of paper (read: heavy), so postage
is not really an option for out-of-towners. Oh yeah - it's also
unbound/unstapled (I *was* getting around to that!).

Will post a follow-up message as soon as I get someone that can
confirm they're interested. Don't fret if you don't get a reply
straight away - I only check my email at night after 7pm or so.

Cheers

Tue, 06 Apr 1999 11:47:24 GMT was a truly tumultuous day in history as
derek@jenkins.net (DJ!) wrote (as best as he/she/it could):

<SNIP>

Thanks to everyone that took the time to write (even James from Perth
- hehehehehe).

The manual was snapped up pretty quick smart by a local here in
Newcastle. If, in my clean-up/move-out efforts I find any more Linux
stuff, I'll throw it up here for grabs.

Best regards
