>>>What is H.R. 3039? It is a bill indtroduced by Representative
Dan Schaefer to replace the Income Tax with a fifteen percent
national sales tax.<<<<

This would really hurt all those Americans that have worked very hard all their life
saving money for a better life when they were older. All this money they've already
paid up to 50% tax on would then be taxed again at 15% when they spent it. What a
slap in the face to those Americans that did without so they would not be a burden on
society when they were older.

The only way any American should support this bill would be if everyone who already
has money they've paid taxes on and saved would be rebatted the sales tax paid when
this money is spent. Otherwise the only people who benefit from this new system would
be those who never saved a dime and spent every penny they ever made with no plans
for supporting theirselves when they were older.

Just my 2 cents worth (will they start taxing this too!)
