What's the best route to take from the Baltimore / DC area to Pittsburgh?

Thanks for any help.

If you live north or east of the city, your best bet is I-83 north to
the turnpike and west. You avoid 295 and Breezewood. This is the
cleanest route.

West of the city, go I-70 West to Frederick and north to Breezewood
and the turnpike. Not bad except for Breezewood.

Unfortunately if you live south of the city, then it's the Wash
Beltway to 295, then north to Frederick. This baby has choke points
at the Beltway/I-295, I-295, and Breezewood. Avoid if at all
possible.

I travel between Pittsburgh and Baltimore frequently (Go O's!) and I
think that Breezewood is much better now than it was before. I am
rarely delayed there anymore.
